Director Madeline Hewson and her husband Mickey are the parents of Pre-juvenile skater Nancy Hewson who is a seventh grader at the Heritage Middle School in the East Central ISD.  Most Club members know Madeline and Nancy, as Nancy has skated for over six years.

    Madeline was born and reared in San Antonio.  After her graduation from Texas Woman's University in Denton with a BS in Education, Madeline was awarded an MA in Library Science at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio.  She is the Scheh Elementary School Librarian in the Harlandale ISD.

    Madeline believes that the skaters in the Club should be able to avail themselves of a total skating program with more participation of the club members in skating functions.   She believes skaters need a variety of experiences in skating and would like the Club to sponsor in-house competitions and skating shows.  She would like the individual skaters to have more publicity for their accomplishments.
