Medium-Size: As medium-size creatures, Magnis have no special bonuses or penalties due to their size. Magnis base speed is 30 feet, and a fly speed of 60 feet (good). Magnis have a natural armor bonus of +2. If from Evatius they have a natural armor bonus of +4. Balance +2, Heal +2; Since they have 4 arms they can use them to balance well and since they have such a connection with the divine powers that they can heal a lot better. 4 Arms: The top arms are used like any other medium sized creatures. The bottom 2 are the same as a small creatures and can only hold weapons medium and below. Imrproved Grapple: The magnis's arms are covered in small hair-like hooks that cling to things very easily. They recieve a +2 to all grapple checks. Fly: The magnis have four luminescent wings that are capable of flight. They fly at 2 times their base speed. Immunity to Sleep: Since Magnis do not sleep, they are immune to magic sleep effects. A Magnis spellcaster still requires 8 hours of rest before preparing spells. Favored Classes: Ranger and Druid. | The Magnis are an insectile race. They are evolved dragonflies and are extremely powerful in divine magic. They live on a flying island that always has a surrounding cloud to hide it from enemies. This fortress was created by Taska, their deity, to protect them from anything. The island floats over Teremko Ocean most of the year, sometimes they move it to stop from enemies attacking. The magnis are normal height and have slender bodies. They are covered in a green exoskeleton and have 4 arms. 2 of the arms can only hold items with a weight under 8 lbs. and the others can hold the usual. They have 4 insect-like wings that shine in the sun and give them the fly ability. Their faces are wide and short with two large eyes, two great, long antennas, and four mandibles with two appendages to bring in food. Thier fortress in the sky does not limit them from adventuring the landscape, but most female Magnis don't venture off the island. |
