I am employed by the City of Alexandria Government as a Case Manager for Adults with Mental Retardation. Prior to becoming a case manager, I worked direct care with adolescents and adults with various disabilities in residential group homes for Grafton School in Winchester, VA. In early 1998, I becan to work with several other SAI Alumnae to form the Wincester Alumnae Chapter. I have been president the group formed, though will be stepping down at the end of my current term. In addition to serving as president, I've also edited the chapter newsletter, which won the Best New Alumnae Newsletter for the 2001-2002 year. Our chapter is growing and flourishing! I'm also currently pursuing a Master's degree and licensure in Early Childhood Special Education from George Mason University and hope to move into the Early Intervention area of my field in the future. posted: 2/23/03 |

Tresa (Hersick) Kirby--Eta Tau, Fall 1996 e-mail: gandtkirby@aol.com I am teaching at Simpson Middle School in Leesburg, VA. I teach grade 6, 7, and 8 Chorus and grade 6 Music Lab. I love my job. I am also teaching private voice two days a week. I sing with the Mormon Choir of Washington DC--this is a spiritually uplifting and musically fulfilling group to be a part of. I have been asked at church to direct the chorus and occasionally I have the opportunity to work with the youth on a special number to sing during sacrament meeting. Greg and I were married June 30, 2001 at the Mormon Temple in Washington DC. We are doing well--we live in a small apartment with our cats, Jake and Mazy.
