Hi! I am a 21 year old elementary education major at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. My concentration is in music and I am a senior, even though I am going to have 2 senior years!
I am originally from Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. I am the youngest of two kids. My brother is 26 and currently lives in Kentucky. My mom and dad are still in Roanoke Rapids. We live out in the country. My mom and dad are two of my best friends. I enjoy seeing them as often as I can.
On January 11, 2003, I became engaged to my wonderful fiance', David Saleeba. He is an Appalachian Graduate and is currently teaching High School Band in Rockingham County. We are planning a June 11, 2005 wedding and you can check out the details by clicking on the wedding link below. Together, we have one pet. Her name is Tan Tan and she is an adorable 9 month old kitten.
I am very active here at Appalachian. I am a sister of Sigma Alpha Iota, professional fraternity for women in music. I pledged SAI in fall of 2001. I am also a member of Music Educator's National Conference. I was a member of the Mountaineer Marching Band for 3 years and I play clarinet in ensembles throughout many sememsters. I also work at the Appalachian Fund.
My hobbies include listening to music, writing poetry, playing clarinet and guitar, spending time with friends, playing chess with my fiance, watching movies, reading, and spending time with my family. On a beautiful Boone day, you will most likely find me on the Parkway!
