1975 Pearson 30
This very popular classic Pearson 30 was first introduced in 1971 and has been a widely successful Bill Shaw design ever since. The Pearson 30 is an excellent performer with solid construction. The Atomic 4 engine in "Calais" was rebuilt in 2000 and should provide many years of dependable service. She is capable of sleeping six people for weekend cruising or club racing.

                                                                             Accommodations
"Calais" is capable of sleeping six people with two in the V-berth, three people in the main salon and one in the quarter berth. The V-berth has storage in port and starboard shelves plus two drawers and additional storage beneath the berth. An opening hatch in the forward cabin provides plenty of light and ventilation. The head has a hanging locker for foul weather gear and a marine head with holding tank. The stainless steel sink in the head has a fresh water hand pump and a cabinet for storage of personal gear. In the main salon there is a starboard and port settee which easily converts to the berths mentioned earlier. There is also a deck hatch in the main salon for additional ventilation as well as two deck vents and one dorade vent. The galley is located to starboard near the companionway and consists of a very large icebox, two burner alcohol stove and a large stainless steel galley sink with a fresh water hand pump and a Whale foot pump that delivers either fresh or salt water. The nav table is located on the port side over the quarter berth and slides out for easy use.
