The 40 ft=12 meter ADA RINA is a spacious and comfortable pilot house ketch/motorsailer and one of the most interesting boats on the Bay. Drive her from the Pilot House and be protected from the elements and yet have a full view around or from the Aft Deck with easy access to all sails. SOME OF THE DETAILS

Type: Pilothouse Ketch Motorsailer. 1982.
Sails: 4 sails: Mizzen, Main, Stay Sail, Genoa with roller furling.
Hull: Fiberglass, 1-1/4" thick with 3/4" foam core. Core sample available. Never a blister. By Krogen – Florida. Boat hauled out August 2008. See hull report above.
Finished work:
by United Ocean, Taiwan - 1982 delivery. Only 2 of these boats were built. One for the US and one for Greece. As the 2nd owner I have owned and steadily improved her since 1992. It is reasonable to assume that a boat in this condition after 26 years will last another 26 years. She has stood the test of time.
Length: At top side: 40' plus 5’ for bow sprit and 5’ for dinghy on davits. About 50 feet of total length to maneuver. At water line 33'.
Beam: 12’8”
Draft: 5-1/2’
Displacement: 22000 lbs – Ballast 7000 lbs.
Masts: Spruce wood. Box construction.
Standing Rigging: All new in 2003.
Steering: Hydraulic from 2 stations. Emergency tiller supplied.
Bottom painted: August 2008.
Electrical: 5 4D Batteries new October 2007, 4 for house, 1 for engine. 1 #27 for Bow Thruster. 150 Amp Alternator. Hart Inverter supplies 2500 Watts at 110VAC and charges at 130 amps 12V. Amp Display continually shows batteries amps percentage left and amps currently drawing or charging. 110V and 12V outlets throughout.
Engine: Volvo TMD40A – 6 cylinder Diesel. About 125 HP.
Propeller and bearing: New in August 2008.
Thru-Hulls and hoses: New or serviced in August 2008.
Bow Thruster: Vetus - 50 kgf. Powerfully moves bow with simple port/starboard buttons from aft deck. Recently serviced.
Dinghy: 10 feet fiberglass. Hangs on Davits. Surprisingly fast wtih optional 3 HP Yamaha outboard.
Water : 295 gallons in 4 tanks
Fuel: 120 gallons in 2 tanks.
Holding tank: 60 gallons. With bypass valve for offshore use.
Plumbing: 2 Heads with showers. Hot and cold water throughout. Instant cold filtered water for galley, hot is possible after heater installation.
Deck Wash: On foredeck. Invaluable for cleaning anchor chain, anchors and fish!
Navigation: By Autohelm: GPS, Auto pilot, compass, wind and depth meters, rudder position and more accessible from 2 steering stations. 24 miles Furuno radar in pilot house.
Galley: 3-burner propane stove with oven. Double stainless steel sinks. Microwave oven. Hot and cold water + cold filtered water. 110V refrigerator/freezer.
Entertainment: TV, Radio with CD/DVD-MP3 and Audio-In .
Ventilation: All portholes, 4 hatches and several pilot house windows open.
Registration: Coast Guard registered No. 998949.

BUYER'S INSPECTION:
Prospective buyers, of course, have the right to thoroughly inspect the boat at dockside and bring in other experts. The boat was hauled out August 2008 for bottom paint, new prop and general service. Invoice will be shown to you. Done at Anderson's Boat Yard Sausalito. Ultimately the boat will be sold on an "as is" basis.
