Hotaru is an extremely weak child, friendless, with fainting spells that leave her clueless as to what she is doing, and strange healing powers leaving people who might have been her friends grossed out and estranged. That is, until she met Rini. Hotaru's mother was killed in a lab fire years before and she is now raised by her father and his seductive secretary, Kaolinite.
Sailor Saturn comes to be after Hotaru regains her memories and is awakened. She is the soldier of destruction, and if she is to be awakened, it is said to be the beginning of the apocalypse. I'm not sure if she has a transformation phrase, as she has never transformed in front of us, but it is most likely to be "Saturn Planet Power!" like the rest of the outer scouts.
Super Sailor Saturn is the evolved Saturn. I'm not sure if she gave herself a power up, or if she got it from the Pegasus like the Inners, but she does power up.
Princess Hotaru is yet another royalty of the Silver Millenium, a princess of the planet of Saturn. She too lived in a castle in the outer solar system, standing watch to alert anyone to the possibility of an invasion. She was also part of Serena's court and the last to regain her memories of that time. In the manga, Sailor Uranus relates to Serena her memories of when Saturn was last awakened. After Beryl's invasion, when Queen Serenity used the Silver Crystal to send everyone to be reborn on Earth, Uranus remember that she was watching from her castle as Sailor Saturn brought the Silence Glaive down and ended the Silver Millenium.
Mistress 9 is the posessed form of Hotaru. After swallowing Rini's heart crystal, Mistress 9 takes complete control of Hotaru's body, causing her to grow rapidly, similar to when Rini turned into Wicked Lady. Her sole purpose is to release Pharoah 90 from the Tau Star System into Earth's galaxy so he can take complete control. However, Mistress 9 underestimated Hotaru's strength, although weak physically, her mental power enabled her to overcome Mistress 9's hold on her and she used her powers to seal up what she had unintentionally done.
