Two figures were moving silently through the sleeping streets of the night, the full moon was shining brightly, offering the only light and guidance in that dark. But the travellers knew their way very well as they crossed street by street continuing their walk watched by the curious stars above them. As they passed under a street-lamp their two shadows danced on the asphalt one tall, clothed with the contour of a neat tux and with short dishevelled strands of hair while the other's face was framed by soft curls and the lady belonging to it was dressed with a long delicate evening dress. "What are they searching for in the middle of the night" mother moon could have asked herself if she had followed their path through the dark; but there was no one to set questions except of some romancing cats on the roofs, probably more engaged with themselves... A cold breeze with the touch of the coming winter made the well dressed lady shiver but only a few seconds later a jacket was gently laid around her shoulders and quite whispers could be heard.
"If I had known before how cold this night would become I would have taken my *fur coat* with me and you wouldn't be chilled to the narrow now - sure you don't want your jacket back?" the lady giggled. "I wanna see you wearing a fur coat Michiru! - it's fine with me though" the other person in question answered. "Ara Haruka, you're always being so damned proud" She said with a teasing voice, but at the same time she smiled the way only people, who can be sure of someone's affection, are able to smile. Michiru let her thoughts run back to the romantic evening she had spent with Haruka - the candle-light-dinner she had arranged and the way they'd danced when she felt her beloved's arm around her waist - she laid her head on Haruka's shoulder and suddenly felt no more coldness. She sank into a wonderful tranquillizing cloud of cheerfulness and could forget in this one precious moment the indifferent world around her and that it hadn't in the first place been love but the wink of destiny, which had finally brought them together. A dissimilar couple - but two lonely people they had been - withdrawn in themselves always longing for someone - someone to be there - someone to understand what was still a hidden secret in front of the eye of truth and perception. Michiru still remembered the day of their first meeting as if it had been just yesterday, when she had arrived driven by incontestable puissance, which had revived her actual identity sleeping so long already inside of her and which had made her know that she was not supposed to become a violinist but protect in eternity and the rest of her life a long ago perished magic era and it's princess as the Senshi of the sea: Sailor Neptune. But she was not meant to struggle alone but search for the ignorant person to share her indispensable destiny; and this person was the famous F1-racer Ten'ou Haruka. Through a mutual friend, Elsa, who knew Haruka from her athletics course she had finally met her after a match on a dusty playground...
...
The sun was burning merciless from the deep blue sky and reminded Michiru of the overwhelming color of the ocean, but the girl was more engaged in flying with her quick views over the fields to puzzle, who out of the many people would be the one chosen as her partner. She just couldn't help her eyes being bound to a handsome tall blond young man who was acting like crazy and as far as she could hear from the distance cursing loudly at some other guys gathering around him. Michiru reminded herself that she hadn't taken the long way to admire good- looking young man with no behaviour and glanced at Elsa, who was already walking far ahead in front of her and to her indescribable shock just tipping the young blond on his shoulder and forming with her fine lips the unbelievable words: "Ten'ou-San"... Michiru quickly gained back the control over herself and made her way with trembling legs towards them while in her head the wheels were turning... "I thought only women were to become Sailor Senshi" she wondered, but she already heard Elsa call her name and introduce her to her future partner. Now as the shock slowly left her body she was able to look into a pair of incredible green eyes watching her curiously. "I want to introduce you to a good friend of mine - Miss Michiru Kaiou" Elsa announced with a huge smile. "Nice to meet you Mr. Ten'ou I-" "*Miss* Ten'ou - if you don't mind" Haruka interrupted her with a kind of triumphing grin while her sparkling green eyes were shamelessly watching the blush creep over Michiru's face, which became even stronger when the tomboy bowed down and softly kissed her hand.
...
Michiru could still feel the enormous uncomfortable mess of emotions which had been growing in her heart from that moment on... But it hadn't only been her duty to figure out who that mysterious Haruka was but also to convince her that she was the reincarnation of Sailor Uranus, desperately needed for the battle against the evil taking possession of the earth. But Haruka was not only a hopeless flirt, aware of the fact that nearly every girl was falling for the young playboy-racer she was from her outer appearance, but an extreme blockhead too... It took quite an effort until Haruka had finally accepted her second identity and had become to what she was now: a person she could absolutely trust and love. The tension grew between the both of them from day to day but they still denied it even as also the other Sailors were sure that they were not only discussing math-terms together at home. They shared a passionate but honest love and were anytime ready to sacrifice their lives for each other - a situation they had to face not seldom as Sailor Warriors. However also today it was not always easy for the couple to cope with the knowledge that only some people didn't mind seeing them behave as lovers normally do, also in public, after they realized that Haruka was a girl and as a consequence of this they mainly avoided the situation.
Haruka thought back to the first time she had met Minako and Usagi, long before she had found out that they were Sailor Venus and Sailor Moon, who was at the same time the Moon-Princess to whom they had sworn eternal faithfulness.
...
She had immediately recognized the two pretty blonde girls, who were loudly torturing the racing-video-game when she entered the game-hall and was terribly eager to play her little "game" on them while she was waiting for Michiru. She tried to make her voice sound even a nuance deeper than it usually was already when she addressed the two girls, whose heads were at once twirling around at the perception of a *masculine* voice inviting them to a race. Especially in Minako's eyes the experienced Haruka could realize a treacherous glimmer, an obvious signal, which she had preferred in the huge eyes of the pig-tailed full-moon-face next to her. Haruka tossed back her short hair with an elegant well-trained movement spreading her overturning charms and was already fully engaged in a conversation when a sharp but knowing voice called her name and she quickly caught the downhearted expression on the blonde girls' faces to know who was standing behind her. Michiru, dressed with a simple blue summer-dress which accentuated her beauty even more, lay her worried look on Haruka, which always made her feel like a little child and she slowly turned around and waved goodbye to the two other girls, who were still sitting stunned in their seats, unable to say a word, but already with wicked plans on their minds how they could follow that *guy*...
...
Now as they were walking together through the night the memory made Haruka smile but at the same time she felt sad and hugged Michiru even tighter as if she had to excuse herself again for what had happened that time. It had been in front of Usagi and Minako, Haruka had the first time denied their relationship after the first question set by Minako was if she was seeing the aqua-haired lady she actually loved with every beat of her heart. "Sooner or later they will find out that I'm a girl- and you know what people than think of us Michiru" she had mumbled later at night, but the soft smothered sobbing of the girl lying next to her kept away the releasing sleep for many hours until she could at the end fall, stung with remorse into the dark lake of dreams. But Usagi the little crybaby still more interested in food than in school had the feeling for other people's emotions and had noticed at once that the bound between them was more than only friendship but instead of informing the rest of the Sailor-team: Ray, who was revived as Sailor Mars, Makoto - Sailor Jupiter, and Minako she even hid her discovery from Amy, who she used to tell all her secrets as the girl was not only blessed by her guardian-planet Mercury with extraordinary intelligence but also with taciturnity. Years of friendship and teamwork between the Outer and Inner Senshi had at the end with the unforgettable help of Setsuna, who was the Senshi of the underworld Pluto, the guard of the time and together wit Neptune and Uranus the owner of one of the three talismans, encouraged them to show their love openly - something for what she could be grateful every second of her life over and over again.
She turned around to look deeply into the dark blue eyes of Michiru, which was like looking through a mirror directly into her soul and knew that they had just shared the same thought. As they were holding hands they watched a shooting star lighten the dark sky for a short fleeting second like a promise from heaven. Also without looking into her lover's eyes Haruka knew that she had just whispered the same wish into the lonely night as Michiru. "The secret's always safe in my heart - my only love" she thought while a whole downpour of shooting stars fell coruscating like a rain of diamonds of hope towards the sleeping planet...
