Sailing at Wallerawang 2008/9

There is a small but popular sailing club that makes use of the power station lake at Wallerawang. The lake is known as Lake Wallace and while not the largest lake around it does have an interesting shape which when coupled with slightly fickle inland winds presents some interesting challenges.

A variety of classes compete including a number of Lasers and smaller classes of catamarans. Some club boats are available for people making a start in the sport including two that are suitable for children.

These are the 2008/098 dates as per the AGM

1) Social Sailing

2) Spring Series.

3)Wang Regatta

4) Heat 1 Commodores Cup

5) Summer Social Sailing (Suggested)

All weekends between the end of the Spring series and the start of the Autumn Series.
