| Glossary Of Terms bowling - a game played involving ten pins and a ball. Bowling - the act of living. ball - a round object used for bowling, made of acrylic/lucite, usually weighing between 6 and 16 lbs. Ball - the entirety of what we are; body, mind and soul. alley - a place where the game of bowling is played. Alley - the universe. lane - a narrow laminated wooden surface down which the bowling ball travels to strike awaiting pins. Lane - the stage of one's life pin - a wooden object, shaped like a club, set in groups as a target. Pin - anything which stands in the way of our completeness. gutter - a channel on either side of a bowling lane, into which a misthrown ball is carried to the ball return device. Gutter - the confrontation of our imperfection and inability to realize our ultimate success in our struggle against the Pins without assistance. bowler - one who participates in the game of bowling Bowler - one who accepts the broader perspective of being guided by the Master Bowler. |
