| Sango: Age: 15? Species: Human (Demon Exterminator) Weapon: Hirakotsu (Big Boomerang) - A demon exterminator by blood, Sango was raised her whole life to kill demons. We meet Sango in the beginning of the series as Naraku is killing off her intire family and blaming it on Inuyasha. A battle insues and Sango eventually joins Inuyasha and Kagome on her search for Naraku for revenge. The other main part to Sango’s story is with her brother Kohaku. When Naraku killed her family he possessed her brothers body and forced Kohaku to try and kill Sango. In the process the villagers who Sango’s family had been trying to help killed Kohaku, leaving Sango very hurt and very alone. Hence the first part of her story. Later on we learn that Naraku has taken Kohaku’s body, keeping him alive using a jewel shard. He remembers nothing about being Sango’s brother and is constantly trying to kill her upon Naraku’s request. Sango, in turn, is trying to kill Naraku so that she can have her brother back. Since Kohaku was pretty much killed in the original fight he would probably die if the shard is removed from him and Naraku killed. A sucky situation, but one that Sango is willing to bear for having her brother’s soul pure again. Sango’s nifty. She’s a great character and has a lot of depth. She works on justice and honor to her family, not so much that she isn’t a fun character, but you can tell that these are the aspects that drive her life. I love her spirit and spunk, and the way she interacts with Miroku is hilarious. Back to the Character Bios |
