| Kikyo:
Age: Unknown (died at 17ish?) Species: Living Dead (was Human) Weapon: Living Dead powers (pssh I dunno) - Kikyo’s story is one of sadness and woe. Check out the story plot for the entire story, but lets say that Kikyo died believing Inuyasha betrayed her, making her soul angry and vengeful. Near the beginning of the show we see Kikyo being brought back to life, which doesn’t turn out for her better. Because Kagome possess their soul, Kikyo is not whole, and therefore is like the walking dead. Ever seen Pet Cemetary? Remember the dog and cat? Yeah, it’s kinda like that. All Kikyo can remmeber from her life is that Inuyasha betrayed her, and her strong feelings of love for him have caused her to become completely posessive of him. We’re talking come-to-hell-with-me possesive, this girl is wacked. Though you really can’t blame her, her story is really sad and I do feel bad for her, but I’m not cheering her on. Kikyo’s entire life is to collect the shards of the Shinkon no Tama to regain her soul from Kagome. In the process, she becomes almost a bad guy, beating up Kagome in certain episodes, and even trying to take Inuyasha back by force. Poor Inusy. Because of Kikyo still being alive he remembers his feelings for her, making a very complicated love triangle. Really I think they should just kill her off and get it over with but *sigh* it is not to be. I really like Kikyo’s character, even though I am constantly cheering the other characters to put her out of her misery. She has so many demensions it’s kinda fun to watch. Plus, I love psycho bitch characters. They make for really great episodes. Back to the Character Bios |
