I am Kerrie Sakura. I have a real surname but I tend not to reveal it these days. I am 20, I am regrettably Northern Irish and I'm studying English and History at the University of Ulster. All I want to do right now is leave this sorry excuse for a country, but I can't because I have another year of studying to do, so in the meantime I'll settle for writing random crap on a website and travelling to London when money and circumstances permit.
This website was originally started as an excuse to use fancy colours a lot. Then I realised it looked bloody stupid and left it rotting for two years, preferring instead to use my online diary thingy. But now I'm back, with a more muted colour scheme and a desire to write again, just so I don't lose the knack. Er, the little knack I have. Whatever, it must be enough as I've spent 3 years (from 1997 to 2000) filling a column for a local paper with musical ramblings, and I used to run a fanzine. For a month. Then we ran out of money. Whoops. I'm also an ex-media student which means I spent two years of my life making spoof radio shows in a very small room at at very small college. Nice.
I can usually be found hidden among racks in record shops, hidden among in the anime/manga section of comic shops, hidden among a load of Buffy fans at episode screenings, or, during term time, hidden in the labs at university or standing at the jukebox in the student's union. I'm a bit timid, in case you hadn't guessed. Oh, or I'll be on a train somewhere.
I'm just a little obsessed with music. I am definitely an indie girl with a little pinch of everything else thrown in from time to time. In other words certain areas of my music taste are just a little embarrassing, but I'm not telling you what they are. Heh.
Other interests (or obsessions) include: Spaced, King Eddie of Izzard, Hello Kitty, Miffy, Afro Ken et al, Buffy, glittery things, fluffy things... oh just tacky objects in general, spending far too much time online, about 800 bands, compiling CDs, buying CDs, buying videos (DVDs be damned!), shopping, avoiding pubs for the most part, and above all, procrastination.
As for dislikes, there are many things. But life's too short for that right now.
And finally, my old website had a list of thanks on it. There are literally too many people to list here right now, and many of them go all shy when you credit them. So I'll just say: to You All Know Who You Are, thankyou.
