"Talking" ‘thinking' (my comments and notes) Note for readers: alright, in this fic all the peoples, like Sakura, Li, Madison, Eli, Kari, Tk, and any other friends I involve in this fic are about 23 at their last year of college and Sakura, Madison, Eli, and Li are all room mates. Also Li and Sakura are only really really close friends, same with Eli and Madison not a couple or really interested or anything, just friends. Sorry all you S+S fans, but Sakura and Li are only really extra close friends. But I might change that near the end. Hope and light Sakura arrived late as usual to school, "Sorry I'm ow.." She fell to the floor, for the first time in a long time someone was standing in front of the door, "Sorry I didn't see you there. Sorry Mr. Tereda, I didn't have a good sleep last night and sort of slept in again." He sighed and pointed to her spot, her eyes brightened and she quickly took her seat. "Alright class we have two transfer students today, Kari Kamiya and Tk Takaishi. Kari you can sit infront of Sakura Avalon, and Tk you can sit infront of Madison Taylor. Girls put your hands up please," He leaned down and whispered into Kari's ear, "Sakura is the girl with the short auburn hair and green eyes." She smiled thankfully and took her seat while Tk sat next to her. Right at the moment Kari sat down Sakura and Li sensed something from her, and Tk. "Li do you?" She whispered back to him he almost silently relied back, "Yes, lunch." Class soon ended and lunch soon began, "Finally Sakura sighed, "I know what you mean that class room is soooo hot." Sakura laughed at her best friend and slumped herself under the usual tree the four sat at, "Li, Eli, hurry up! I'm hungry!" The two boys sat down and started going through their bags, "Hoe?!" Li new that sound and handed half his sandwich to Sakura, "Forgot your lunch again?" She smiled and blushed, "Thank you." He just smiled back, Kari and Tk were walking around looking for a place to eat and they saw the 4 sitting under a tree, "They look so serious, I wonder what their talking about?" "Who knows, hey Padamon what are you doing here?" "I wanted some lunch Tk." Kari laughed at him and spotted Gatomon, "Gatomon!" Sakura was busy asking Eli if he sensed that power coming from the two and he did, "We have to be careful of them, Sakura? What are you looking at?" She pointed to Kari and Tk yelling at a creepy looking flying thing and a strange looking cat, "What are those?" Sakura asked Eli, the others looked at Tk and Kari but the creatures Sakura was talking about were gone. Kari and Tk were smiling at them and just to be nice and check them out Sakura invited them to eat with them. Sakura had already finished the half of a Li's sandwich he gave her and she was talking once again. "So Kari where did you guys come from?" Kari and Tk moved from the city that got attacked by monsters, and they were two of the 12 kids there, "Well we are 2 of 12 friends, there was me, Tk, my older brother Tai, his older brother Matt, my brothers girlfriend Sora, Tk's brother's girlfriend Mimi, Izzy, Joe, an very annoying guy named Davis that wouldn't stop flirting with me, our very shy friend Codey, Yolie, and Ken." "Ya, we were like one big group of friends, or as some of the parents called it a gang." They started laughing, they missed home, but something told them to come to Tomeda, so to get to school and stuff, they used the digiport. "That still doesn't answer our question, where did you come from?" They looked a little uncomfortable, "We'd rather not tell." Sakura: "Why?" Madison: "Sakura don't be so nosey." Li: "You mean like you Madison, little miss hidden camera." Sakura and Li were staring Madison down. She laughed and Sakura's stomach growled, "You didn't eat breakfast again did you?" She looked down, "I was gonna be late." Li smiled and Madison handed her the other half of her sandwich, "Here, I'm full anyway." Sakura smiled and took the half of the sandwich, Tk was mesmerized by her smile ‘she's so beautiful, especially when she smiles.' Kari was getting a little jealous of Sakura and left, "What's wrong with her?" Li grabbed Sakura's hand and brought her in close, "She has a strong power, but I don't think she knows about it or how to use it." He whispered in her ear. Just as Tk was fuming at the ears the bell rang, "Come on, time for class." Eli said getting up and helping the girls to their feet, "Shall we." Eli said stretching both arms for the girls the grab them, "Eli, your so funny." Madison said grabbing his arm, "Oh yes I can't control myself." Sakura said laughing and grabbing his arm. Li smiled and followed beside Sakura. When Kari came into class she saw Sakura talking to Li and Tk watching from his seat. She stormed to her seat and stared at the chalk board, Sakura knew it was her fault from experience with Meiline and looked at the back of Kari's head trying to read her mind. "Sakura don't bother, she's not worth it." She turned back around to Li and stared him in the eyes, "sigh, you're right. Madison has Choir practice after school, so I wanted to know if you wanted to walk home with me?" "Sure, I'll help you with your homework, and the stuffed animal can even fly around the house." "I'm not a stuffed animal!" Came from Sakura's bag, "Kero!" Kari heard that and got interested, "Sakura, what's in your bag?" "Ummm.... nothing." Her eyes were filled with doubt, so Li helped out, "A talking battery powered stuffed animal." "I'm not a stuffed animal!" She smiled with a sweat drop, "That's all he seems to know, other than mmm, cake, puddin, and of course." "Hey kid." Li butted in. They burst into laughter and you could still hear Kero, "I'm not a stuffed animal!" Kari turned around finding nothing on her to get Tk back from the clutches of Sakura, so she decided one other thing, jealousy. Later that day Kari walked up to Li and started a conversation, "So are you good at math?" "I'm ok." "Could you help me with it?" "Sure, when?" "After school." "I told Sakura that I'd help her with her math homework." "Oh really?" "Ya I'm going to help her with her math homework." "Maybe I could come to?" Tk was ease dropping and walked up, "If you need help with math Kari, I can help." "No thanks, I would rather have Li help me." "But I'm already helping Sakura!" "Great see you after school." Just as she went to her seat Sakura, Eli, and Madison walked up to Li, "So going to work on the science project with us my cute descendant?" "Stop calling me that, if you keep calling me that, I'm gonna. Well why don't you call Sakura your half daughter or something like that?" "Because it doesn't annoy her the way this annoys you." The girls giggled and waited for Li's answer, "No, he's working with me!" Kari butted in and grabbed his arm. They walked away to discuss their project, "Why did you do that, why not work with Tk?" She didn't answer. Sakura sat down, "I thought Meiline was in Hong Kong?" "So did I." Eli finished, Madison laughed at two of her best friends, "I'm sure Li left her there when he came back, now what are we going to do for this project?" Sakura thought for a bit and almost had an idea when Tk came up, "I was wondering if I could work with you?" "Sure would you by any chance have an idea?" Sakura smiled, Tk smiled back, "As a matter of fact I do. They looked expectant, "We can do a project on computer data." Eli sorta looked a little disappointed, "What kind of computer data?" Tk looked down, "Well I can only show you, see I've known how to do this for a long time, it's like making a interactive giga pet." Sakura's eyes shimmered, "Ya, I can show you after school." Sakura nodded then remembered, "I almost forgot Li's going to help me with my math after school." "Kari's going to his house after school to work on math." Sakura looked a little sad and whispered to her bag, "Looks like you have to stay in here when we're at Li's house." Tk had no clue why she was talking to her bag, "Um Sakura are you alright?" "Hoe, oh ya I'm fine." She said blushing a very embarrassed blush. Li saw that and started to laugh a little, "What are you laughing at?" "Hm oh nothing, you wouldn't understand it, and I told you after school I'm helping Sakura with her math." "Well can't you help both of us?" "Well than someone has to do something they wouldn't like. And I can't ask that person to do that." She looked sad, Sakura came over to Li, "I heard Kari was going to come with us and you were going to help her with her math to." "Uh n.." "That's great," She butted in and then whispered, "Kero can hide in my room if we give him some pudding." Li smiled and told Kari to meet them outside by the entrance to the school. Sakura smiled at them and walked to her group. The school soon ended and Sakura met Li after school, "Hey Li! Where's Kari? "Please can we leave her, she's worse than Meiline, and she gets to choose her own classes." "So?" "She chose every class with me. And you know how you wanted to learn martial arts and stuff?" "Ya." "She's decided to join our class. And I don't think she's the fighting type." "She's coming you choose, we run, hide, or stay?" "Hide!" They hid in a bush and watched as she walked back to the school. "Li, that was mean." He knew it, but Kari was getting even worse than Meiline. While they were in the bush Sakura started a conversation, "So is your engagement to Meiline off yet?" "I told you that last year, it is and she's already engaged to another guy." Sakura's eyes popped out of her head, "Already? Man she really felt hurt didn't she." Sakura said sarcastically, Li's head fell, his gaze was on the ground, "I'm sorry Li, I was just trying, I'm sorry." "Gotcha, I'm not upset." She punched him upside the head and, "There you are Li!" "Ah!" Sakura backed off so fast that she ended up climbing the tree. Li laughed, "Come down Sakura." "I'm not scared, I was just startled." She said jumping down. Li just laughed and pulled Kari behind them, "So where do you guys live?" "With Madison and Eli in that apartment." Sakura pointed, "You live with a guy?" "She lives with two guys actually." Kari didn't get it until Li was pointing to himself, "You mean you, Li, Madison, and Eli all live in the same apartment?" She nodded like it wasn't a big deal and Kari just looked at them amazed. When she walked through the door Kari started to laugh, the rooms were screwed up, some were beige and some were black, while others were hot pink, and others were green, a bright green. "Don't laugh, Madison wanted beige, I wanted hot pink, Eli wanted black, and Li wanted bright green, so we compromised sort of." Kari couldn't stop laughing. Sakura just went directly to the fridge grabbed a big bowl of chocolate pudding and ran to her room, "Kero just stay in my room ok?" "YAY!!!! PUDDIN!!!!!!" Kari heard that and then a thump, "KERO!!!!!" Came from Sakura's room. Kari was curious and started to go in the direction of the scream ut came to a dead end, the bathroom was right next to her and was completely lost, "Li help!" "You shouldn't have gone to find Sakura, it's non of your business what she's doing in her room." Li came and led her back to the living room. "This place was built like no other place you know. It's like a maze, and only we and anyone we taught know where everything is, or enough to live here for a few days. It's for private reasons." She looked at him amazed, "So the colors help keep track of where everything is?" He looked away ‘no we change that every like week, but can't tell her that.' He was thinking of a reason and just said, "No, we just know where to go from here and stuff." Kari was a little disappointed and just changed the subject, "So can we get started on math now?" He was going to say yes when, "Li! I need help with something." "What do you need help with?" "Um well I, hey Kero don't do that, I mean I'm lost please help me!" Li sighed and started walking away, "Make yourself at home, don't leave this room, Sakura can't remember if it's the first or second stair case sometimes." Li went straight to Sakura's room and threw a pillow at Kero, "Keep it quiet, we have a friend over." "More like a Meiline wanna be." Sakura snorted, "So your Chinese brat girlfriend is back?" "First she's not my girlfriend, and second she's still in Hong Kong." The glaring contest started once again and Sakura stopped it, "Thanks Li, I really needed you to stop him being so well rambunctious. But what I really wanted was that new game you have that Kero wanted." "Oh I'll go get it. Stay here and be good Kero." He left, and soon returned with the game, "Here, keep quiet and don't mess with me or I'll never let you play it again. Hey Sakura watch this." He tilted the game up, and Kero's head went up. He tilted it down, and Kero's head went down, Sakura started laughing and snatched the game from Li, "Now you'll be good?" he nodded and she handed it to him, "K now where did you find me?" "At the dead end." "Color of the room?" "Beige?" "Got it, let's go." When they walked into the living room Kari stood up and asked if they had trouble going through their own house, "No, I mean yes, I thought I was going one way, but it was a dead end." Sakura smiled and grabbed her math book sitting down on the couch, Li went to go sit beside her, but Kari sat down before he could and he was left sitting at the end beside Kari alone. They were nearly done when Eli, Madison, and Tk walked through the door, "Right well as you can see Madison likes very many different colors, Sakura, Li what are you doing here?" "We live here." They said together, Eli sighed, "Stupid and cute stupider, We were keeping that part a secret, now he knows we all live here." Sakura rolled her eyes and walked in the direction of her room. After a few minuted they ear a big thump, then a scream, them another thump, and a crash and finally, "Kero!!" Sakura was angry at him, but something wasn't right, they heard another scream like a mix of pain and fear. Right away Li, Eli, and Madison ran up to Sakura's room, Tk soon fallowed, and Kari slowly got up to fallow and did. When Li and Eli entered the room they saw Sakura against the wall breathing hard with a big gash in her arm, and Ceroberose standing infront of her protecting her, "Sakura!" The three ran to her, "Li, you take Madison and get Sakura out of here, I'll take care of that thing. Ceroberose, it'll be faster if you fly. Take them now!"Li picked the very weak Sakura up, and grabbed Madison's hand, "Let's go, he'll be fine." Madison nodded slowly and they ran out of the house, "Ceroberose walked infront of him, "Get on kid, Madison, you sit behind him, and there's no room for three so kid hold her." He said turning slightly to let them on, Li climbed onto his back and took Sakura from Madison placing her on his lap, "C' mon Madison climb on." She climbed on behind him and told Kero what direction the hospital was. "Gatomon we have to fallow them, Digi armor energize!" "Gatomon armor digivolve to Nefertimon angel of light!" Tk looked around for a second, "Padimon, Digi armor energize!" "Padimon armor digivolve to Pegasusmon flying hope!" They climbed on the back of their digimon and flew after the flying beast with Li, Sakura, and Madison on it. Kero hid in a bush while Li and Madison got Sakura in the hospital, "Sakura you'll be alright, we'll be in there when we can get in there." Madison said while Li was outside looking for Kero, "Stuffed animal?" "I'm not a STUFFED ANIMAL!" "There you are, c' mon." "Is she alright?" "They said she'd be fine, but I wasn't in there long enough to hear everything. Now c' mon and we'll go see her." Kero flew to Li's shoulder and Li went in. Soon after Li went inside Kari and Tk ran in trying to find her. Well Kari went in to find Li, so Sakura can't get to him. When the two finally found them, Sakura was sitting in a hospital bed talking to Li and Madison. "So what attacked you?" "I don't know, I felt the same energy coming from Kari earlier, just before I went upstairs." "I did what?" Kari walked in the room and up to Sakura, "What did you say?" Kari asked holding Sakura up by the scruff of her shirt. "What is with you, she's right that energy is coming from Kari." Li said Sakura didn't fight back, she just looked her in the eye, "Why do you hate me?" Kari dropped her, shocked, "Wha-what?" "Why do u hate me?" "I-I I don't hate you." "Then leave me alone!" Sakura screamed then covered her mouth, "I mean, I"m so sorry. It's just you're so mean. I mean, I don't know what I mean." Kari just ran away. Sakura shrugged and whispered something in Madison's ear, "Both of you out now!" Madison shooed the two boys out and helped Sakura get dressed. They walked out and Li got mad, "You should stay here for now." "No, Eli needs our help, and I think I know what it is." "What? What's wrong with Kari?" Tk butted in. Li ignored him and grabbed Sakura, "Alright then let's go." Before Sakura couldn't reach her any more, Sakura grabbed Madison and the three of them left to help Eli. Well Li dragged Sakura and Madison. "Sakura get your wand ready." "I would if you would stop dragging me long enough to let Madison go." "Oh, well then let's go." He let Sakura go and she grabbed her wand. "Eli? Eli? ELI?!" Madison screamed frantically searching for Eli. They found Eli laying weakly on the floor with Yue, Spinnel Sun, and Ruby Moon laying next to him. "Eli!" Madison ran to him while Sakura ran to Yue. "Are you guys ok?" Li picked up the little Spinny and went to Ruby to see if she was ok. Sakura had helped Yue, and Madison was helping Eli up. After Eli, Yue, Spinny, and Ruby were on the couch Tk burst through the door pulling Kari behind him. "Fix her now!" "Not now, Eli are you feeling better?" "I will can you get me some tea?" Madison ran into the kitchen and started some tea, "Yue, Ruby? Do you need anything?" Sakura asked picking Spinny up. Yue shook his head and of course Ruby opened her mouth, "I would love some tea." Sakura handed Li Spinny and went to help Madison, "Well with those two nursing you back to perfect health you'll be better soon." Li said mainly to Spinny who could barely move. He slowly nodded and Li placed him on the table. And walked into the bathroom soon returning with a first aid kit and lot's of wash clothes (Don't know what to call them). Sakura walked in with a small bucket of warm water and rubbing alcohol. "Yue hold still this is going to hurt a lot." Yue braced himself, then jumped. "Kero take care of Spinny for us." Sakura pointed. Li helped Ruby and Madison took Eli. Tk just watched and held Kari tight. When everyone was as cleaned up as they were going to get, Sakura noticed Tk, "How long have you been there?" She said angrily, "Long enough to know that you are a digidetined just like us. "Which one is yours?" "Kero and Yue are my guardians. I mean the yellow one." "A puny one like that? He must digivolve into something big and powerful then." Tk talked to Kari, "Whatever, let me go!" "No not until they fix you!" He looked at Sakura, "Fix her now!" "I don't know how. If they didn't stand a chance against it, then what chance do you think I have of fighting it?!" "Just fix her!" "I can't do that! I'm not the best person for the job, maybe you're special, but I'm not!" And she ran up to her room, "Wait I..." Li started to giggle a little, "What's your problem?" "Why don't you go find her, I'll watch Kari for you." Within minutes Tk was lost and Sakura was watching him. ‘When will they learn not to fallow us?' Sakura thought as Tk continued to search the house. After about half an hour Sakura was getting tired of fallowing him around the house and stepped out of the shadows. "Come on let's get back to the others, before Kari get's away." "Sakura! Hurry up, she's trying to get away!" Sakura and Tk ran into the living room with a frantic Madison and protective Eli in front of her. "Where's Li?" "After it!" Sakura ran out the door, "It?" "That thing in Kari, it's taken over her body! Go! Be careful Sakura!" "Come back safe!" Madison added in, "Don't worry Madison I have faith in my half daughter and descendant." "What Sakura's your daughter? And how is Li descended from you?" "Go help your girlfriend!" "Sakura is not my girlfriend!" "Not her I mean just go!" Started after Sakura but she was gone, "Where'd she?" "Sakura! Dam she's started flying! Kero let's go take him with you!" Kero nodded transformed into his true form, and threw Tk on his back. "Let's go kid, Yue you feeling better?" "I'm coming Ceroberose." Yue stood up and fallowed. "Why don't your names end in mon?" "Because we are clow guardians." "Aren't you digimon?" "What are those?" Ceroberose was flying after Sakura and saw her, "Yue there she is!" "Mistress!" Sakura turned and saw them, "What are you guys doing here?" "Our duties are to protect you and the cards." "What the stupid idiot means is we were worried and wanted to help." "Thanks guys, but what about him?" She said looking at Tk, "He knows we are guardians." Suppy came flying up behind them. "You sure you're feeling better?" Suppy started dropping a little, and Kero caught him. "You shouldn't have come." "She's still my friend to." Sakura smiled and took the little black animal from Ceroberose. "Do you have any clue what this thing is?" "I think it's a card being manipulated by another. The cards are ‘The jealousy' and ‘The posses', but the jealousy card doesn't seem like the type to do this kind of thing, so I think it's something else controlling the jealousy and talking it into turning the posses." "Wow you really thought this out." Ceroberose said a little shocked, "Yes your ability to tell the cards apart has increased drastically. Not only that, but you can tell hat they are feeling now." "Clow Reed would be proud." "I know Eli is." Sakura smiled at her three friends and still knew Tk was hiding something that could help her a lot, and decided to ask him about it, "Tk why did you call me a digidestined? What is a digidestined?" "And what is a digimon?" Everyone was looking at him through the corner of their eyes, so they didn't hit anything. "Well a digimon is..........." Hours later, "...And that's how we met our Digimon," Tk finished, and glanced at all the surprised faces around him. "Yikes," Sakura raised an eyebrow. Yue nodded. "That's an incredible story." Li mumbled agreement, but then spoke louder. "Guys, if we don't move fast, the Possess Card may harm Kari. Gatomon, you mentioned seeing her by that cliff, right?" Sakura gasped. "The one Tori got pushed off of?" Tk had an urgent look on his face. "We have to find Kari and get this Clow Card out of her!" Tai Kamaya leaned against the windowsill, letting the fresh cool air ruffle his hair. "Kari...Gatomon...were are you?"Kari, Tk, and their Digimon had been missing for days. Search parties had found absolutely nothing. The police were baffled, and their family and friends were worrying like there was no tomorrow. Tai sighed sadly. "Come home soon, okay?" "Are you sure this is where she was?" Li asked, sword out and ready. The group had gone to the same cliff where Tori had met the Mirror Card. "Certain," Gatomon replied. Fifteen minutes passed by. No sign of Kari. "She must of gone aw-" Sakura started saying, but was interrupted by a familiar voice. "I'm here." Everyone whirled around. Kari stood there, standing inches away from the rocky edge. If she took a step back, she would be a goner. Her eyes were a slight black, which looked like a shadow covering them. "Kari!" Tk cried. Sakura felt a powerful presence. She knew instantly it was the Possess Card. "Possess Card!" She shouted. "Leave Kari alone!" Kari was staring at them, darkness came from the shadows and covered Sakura. She screamed and Li tried to get to her. "No Sakura! Ceroberose hurry let's get her out of there." "Come on kid she's getting deeper in there!" Ceroberose and Li were attacking the darkness over and over again. "Nothing is working Ceroberose Li get out of the way!" Yue tried to attack it but nothing. Eli could feel Sakura slipping farther away and grabbed Madison, "Hold on ok?" "Why?" "Sakura needs our help right now!" Madison nodded and within seconds they were standing in front of a big blob of darkness with Li, Ceroberose, and Yue smashing at it. "What's wrong where's Sakura?" "Inside that!" Li said attacking it again. Kari saw Madison crying and felt sorry for her, the jealousy couldn't keep the posses card under control any longer, and left Kari's body walking over to the shadows, "Master, the poses is free." The posses had just realized what it was doing and set Kari free from it's power. "I feel different, what's happening to Sakura?" "Thanks to you she's going to die!" Li said with so much anger that he almost attacked her, "I-I didn't mean to hurt her, I was just a little angry and I'm sorry." Li summoned all his power for one last attack. He blasted it with all he had and the dankness that was engulfing Sakura just disappeared. What was left was a very weak Sakura standing there, "Sa-sakura?" "Madison don't go near her!" Eli grabbed Madison and pulled her back over to him. "Her eye's look at them." Kero said in his borrowed form, "They're they're." Yue stammered, "So lifeless, I can't believe that's her, where's all the life that used to be in her?" Li continued. Kari was so regretful of what happened, and the worst part was that in her mind she really did want to do that. "That isn't a normal card, I can tell by looking at that girl, that she really did want to do those things. Is that true?" Eli said/asked. Kari looked at the ground, "I normally wouldn't act like that or even think like that, but I really did want to do those things." Li was filled with anger. He grabbed Sakura off the ground and walked over to Kari, "You wanted to do this to Sakura? You wanted to do this I can't believe you wanted to do this. No one even thinks of harming her, but you killed her!" "She was so young, wait kid put her down." "Why?" "Just do it!!!" Li did it, and Kero placed his ear next to her mouth, and then looked at her stomach. Tears were welling in his eyes, "She she's alive." He said weakly. Madison started crying tears of joy along with Kero, "Thank god, we better get her somewhere." "Not the hospital." "Why?""Because one, they might think she's dead and cause more damage, and two this is a magically caused sickness, and only magic or something can heal her." Li picked her back up and started walking home, "Let's et her home quickly so people don't get suspicious and we can get her back to normal." The rest fallowed and then Yue remembered, "You two should probably come, we might need you."Tai had seen where Tk and Kari were by his digivice, and was trying to find them. He arrived at a house they seemed to be in and knocked on the door. Yue opened the door. "May OI help you?" "Yes is my little sister and her friend in here?" "Her name please?" "Oh right my sisters name is Kari and her friend is." "Tk." "How did you know?" Yue turned a bit and showed Kari sitting on the couch. Li and Eli came down the stairs their heads down. Madison ran into Eli's arms, "Is she alright, have you got her back yet?" Li looked at his feet, "no." He murmured, "What? She's not better yet?" Li nodded. Madison started crying even harder, "Poor Sakura she's going to have to recover alot before we can even get close enough to help her." "I know Kero, but what else can we do in the mean time?" "Pray." Yue answered for Kero. Li plopped onto the couch and noticed Kari beside him and automatically jumped up from the couch and wondered to the other side of the room, his gaze never leaving the ground. "What's going on? Kari!" Tai ran in and hugged his sister, she didn't hug back, "What what's wrong?" "I killed Sakura." "You what?! You killed someone?!" "She's not dead completely." Spinny said. Everyone was sad especially Li. |
