Chapter 5: Fighting for Her
The next day at school…
Tomoyo and Sakura were chatting when Jason and Syaoran came into the class together. They were trying to squeeze through the narrow door and at the same time, smiling at Sakura. As Sakura anxiously looked at them, Syaoran fell down. Sakura rushed to him and lifted him up. Jason pretended to be sorry. Upon noticing it, Syaoran thanked Sakura but disregarded Jason.
“What’s the matter with him? How rude
he is! Doesn’t he know that I’m your boyfriend?!” Jason spoke
just loud enough for Syaoran to hear. Syaoran immediately turned and looked
at Sakura with questioning eyes.
Sakura turned away with her cheeks burning.
*What?! His girlfriend?! How can it be?!? I better talk to her!*

At recess……
Girls who heard the conversation between Syaoran, Jason and Sakura ran towards Syaoran knowing he is available. Syaoran ignored them and went up to Sakura.
“Sakura…I’m sorry about yesterday..I…and I mean it. But…why?! Why did you…”
“Hang out with Jason?” Sakura finished the sentence for him.
“Yeah…he, he is so rude and…”
“And rough?”
“Yeah…” Syaoran nodded.
“Actually, he is not at all ruthless.”
“No…Sakura…….”
“In fact, he is quite…romantic…” Sakura said dreamily, thinking about last night.
“Sakura! You are under the spell of him!” Syaoran lost his temper as a rush of jealously filled him.
“Ahem! What do you mean by that?!?” Jason was agitated.
“You, you…how could you eavesdrop us!!”
“I was afraid that Sakura would be under your spell!!!” Jason argued. Sakura’s eyes jerked from Syaoran to Jason and cried,
“You two are being ridiculous!” With that, she walked away angrily. Syaoran and Jason stared at each other and together,
"It is all your fault!" And they walked away in different directions.
Meanwhile…
Minako chuckled.
*Now that Syaoran has competition and Sakura is hanging out with Jason… ….* Minako thought and giggled silently.
Janice: Uh oh...looks like Minako and Jason will
get what they wanted...
