~In The Dark Castle~
Li slowly crept toward the edge of the pillars, his sword was drawn and Sakura's wand was strapped to his back. Yue he was off somwhere fighting Hate. And Tori, maybe he was dead, that monster was just too much. Li didn't really know how he was staying so calm, it had been Yue's idea to just strom the palace and take Sakura back. Unfortunaltey Tori had agreed so they had. Li knew what he had to do, he had to stop Sakura. Stop her from going back to the real world and releasing the Dark Powers onto the world. He would kill her if necessasary.
He heard a noise and turned quickly, and there sat Sakura on the very pillar he had just hid behind.
"Hello.......Li, Li Sayoran, are you here to rescue me?" Sakura smiled sweetly at him (she was wearing her school uniform).
"I'm very glad you've come to save me, that boy in there is very evil......he....he wanted to hurt me...turn me into some kind of Goddess of Destruction or something."
"Please Li, take me home!"
Lid really didn't know what to do.......could Yue have been wrong about Sakura...........
"Li!?
He turned back around to look at her and she had vanished.
"Sakura!!!" Where had she gone?
He contined climbing the stairs of the tower, his fear was growing. Had that been a vision? That maybe Sakura wasn't really dead and gone!
A shadow slowly rose up behind Li as he walked up the stairs, the shadow became solid and the Lord of Darkness himself stood tall his own sword as black as his eyes was held high ready to strike Li in two.
Li turned at the last second and the blow was turned aside.
"You, you (Li couldn't think of a word bad enough to call him) And anger totally over took him.
They had reached the top of the tower, and there sitting on a throne of black crystal was Sakura......No! The Goddess. She sat and smiled and then waved her hand at the Dark Lord as though she wished for the fight to continue.
Again and again the Dark Lord struck, but Li's own anger was keeping him strong. He summoned a lightning bolt and this time the blow struck home. The Dark Lord staggered and fell. But instead of getting up and continuing the fight, he had turned to Sakura and drawn a symbol in the air.
Sakura's hands glowed as she pointed at the Dark Lord, and he transformed.
Suddenly a huge black dragon raised its head into the air and let out a roar of absolute fury.
Li stood transfixed, unable to move. The dragon turned and struck at Li.
His sword was thrown from his hand as the dragon attacked .
It struck again and again, and Li was begining to get very tired. Finally a blow struck home, and blood dripped down Li's shoulder, his right arm was now useless.
As he stared up into the creatures dripping mouth he knew he was going to die.........."Good, bye Sakura, he thought to himself. "I loved you so much and yet, it didn't really matter because now were both going to die........there is no greater good........its all just one huge joke the whole world was playing on us. And now even that cruel world is going to cease to exist, I'm so sorry I failed you, please forgive me........."
The Dragon just exploded!!!!!!!
"Enough!!!!!, Yue screamed, "I have had enough, and you have interfered with my plans for far to long!"
The dragon now headless fell lifeless to the ground.
Yue turned then to Sakura and said "It ends now!" "Die, witch!!" And the light from his hands went spinning toward her.
But instead of exploding like the dragon, the light seemed to fill her, and make her stronger.
She then sent it right back at Yue and he was thrown against the wall, were his power seemed to fade and he turned back into Julian.
"These are the mighty heros sent to defeat ME??!!, What an incredible waste of life!! The girls brother, the angel boy, and now you! You will all die!! She shrieked shrilly.
Li understood know what Yue had meant when he said the choice will be yours, he had made his choice..........
He slowly picked up his sword, and began to walk toward Sakura.....
She thre bolt after bolt of power at him, more wounds opened and his blood flowed freely, but he kept walking toward her.
Finally he was right at the base of the throne, he picked up the sword his blood running down the tip of it, and pointed it straight at her heart.
"I love you Sakura! I always did.....I always will, and I PROMISE NOT TO FAIL YOU!!"
And his sword pierced her to her heart.
The wand that had still not dropped from his back was on fire.
It glowed and shone..........and the power erupted from it. The castle exploded, the endless night of the Dark World was turned into day. The shadows and monsters faded as though they had never been there and the bodies of Li, Julian, Tori, and Li disapeared.
And the body of the dragon faded leaving just the body of the Dark Lord, which dissapeard too.
~In the real world~
Tears everwhere their were tears.
Voices murmered their condolonces about how bad it was that everyone had died.
And Li held Sakura tighter and smiled, because her friends Grandmother had just died along with her two parents and they were at the funeral.
"Thank you God for letting us live.......
Tori smiled and patted Julian on the back, and they all secrelty smiled at one another.
And a boy with dark hair and dark eyes walked away from the funeral smiling becuase he was finally free, They were all finally free.
