| FAQ’s About Trampolining Got any questions, worries or problems (to do with trampolining, of course!)??? If so, have a look through the common ones I’ve included! Please tell me if you want a personal reply, otherwise I’ll just post the answer on this page! How old do I have to be to start trampolining? Many squads and clubs start people off as young as five, although some clubs have an age limit of perhaps eight. If you have a child who wants to trampoline, you should go and have a talk with the coach of the squad and they’ll be able to advise you! You have to take into consideration the patience that is required of trampolinists while waiting for a go! As for a maximum age limit- there isn’t any! I started trampolining at the age of 14, which seems rather late, but many people start at a later age and go on to do really well! What’s it like? Imagine you’re on a Bucking Bronco… Your first go on a trampoline is rather like that! It can feel rather strange! But you soon become used to it, and you’re body is much more in control…and it’s very very fun! That’s all I'm going to say! – You’ll have to try it to find out for real! Is it dangerous? It has the capacity to be a dangerous sport- but following the safety regulations are followed, no, it isn’t at all! But you should always trampoline in the presence of a fully qualified BTF coach – just in case! I don’t think I’m good enough to start trampolining! Err….don’t even go there!!! No-one and I mean NO-ONE is not good enough to trampoline! Okay, so you might not become the next Lee Brearly or Kirsten Lawton (two really good GB trampolinists!) but you can still trampoline! You won't be the only beginner! Don’t let that worry hold you back! Where can I do it? You’ll have to contact some of your local leisure centres and enquire whether they run any trampoline classes or have a squad based there. I’ll try and find out some clubs and get them listed up on the website soon! But please be patient! – I only get to do this site in my free time!
