Dreams grow in the night
When reality is asleep
Making fantasies come alight
Making you laugh and weep
Like tiny little treasures
They grow amid the pain
Counteracting all measures
Making me smile again
Dreams can easily break
Shattering easily one day
While you lie wide awake
Watching them melt away
And still I go on dreaming
Irrespective of the cost
Loving and playfully scheming
Never counting what's lost
