MIA PROKIA AMANATI

After the exchange of nations in 1924, lots of Anatolian Greeks moved to Greece and lots of Balkan Turks came to Anatolia. There was a Greek family who moved to Greece and they were from Town Denizli. But when they were living Anatolia, they trusted their 5-year old daughter's, Sophie's, trosseau to their next door Turkish neighbours because they believed that they would turn back one day.At the same time Turkish family has a son at the same ages of Sophie, he is a friend of Sophie, too.

Years passed, but trosseau was still there. That little boy brought up, married and had children. Before he died, he bequeathed that the trust trosseau must have been given to its real owner, Sophie.!Then his son, Kemal YALÇIN, had travelled all over Greece for 2 years, at the end although he couldn't find Sophie, he had found her children because Sophie was dead like his father. The trusted trosseau was given to real owners 74 years later. It is published as a book by Kemal YALÇIN (that little boy) and this book had won the prize of Abdi Ipekçi Peace and Friendship Prize in 1998.(Uğur DÜNDAR, ARENA TV programme)
