I still think every single day
There was no reason for you to stay
I couldn't tell you and didn't want to say
I knew deep inside you wanted to be set free
Flowers I'd given you lay speechless wilted on the floor
When things seemed unfair I was there
Picked you up when you felt down
Held you without a sound
When you were near
I'd feel your fear
Passion I felt was gone
Pain now begins to set in
I understand now every single day
