MEETING@recovery.org private email lists - As a result of this
letter, RECOVERY.ORG is supporting private email discussion lists,
for AAs to talk to one another. Not a "meeting", per se, just
communication. This list will be hand-maintained but NOT moderated, rather than
allowing subscriptions through a list management tool, in order to try to keep
the unwanted spam to a minimum.
Note that your email communications
will NOT be anonymous, except to whatever degree your email address already
protects your identity. You may want to use a free hotmail.com or yahoo.com
address for your list postings, if personal anonymity is an issue to you..
There are four meeting lists, numbered
1 thru 4. When you request to join a meeting list, you will be added to one at
random.
If you're interested in joining a
list, email bill@recovery.org
and tell him you want to join one of the MEETING lists.

The
ALCOHOLISM RECOVERY Site has been removed, due to attacks from within the
recovering community. Read Kelly's letter (1/23/2000). This is the result of
aberrant and irrational behavior on the parts of some purported members of AA
and certainly not in keeping with the traditions of "live and let
live" supported by Bill W. and Dr. Bob in the founding of AA. What an
embarassment this is to the vast majority of our good-hearted and sensible
recovering members! Very sad.
Just for Today is designed for the daily
inspiration of AA members and others interested in the AA program of recovery.
A short note is sent out Monday-Friday with a quote from AA literature.
