War Comedy-It's about a week after Pearl Harbor, and Japan's trying to launch another attack on America, this time on Hollywood. The Americans know it, and try to stop them. Zany characters somehow get in the army, and that's about all of the paper-thin plot.

4/10-Enough laughs (almost all in the first hour) for a five, but the lack of character developement and characters to understand brought it down. In the last half-hour, you just want it to end. Two hours is too long. I didn't like the mindless destruction of property. It seemed too kooky. I hate to not like one of Spielberg's works, but this one's in my list of movies never to see again.
Rated PG for language and war violence.
