Drama-Paul Edgecomb is a caring death row jailer. John Coffey is a new, soft-spoken inmate, condemned to fry in the electric chair. Paul, suffering from a urinary infection, is healed by John. Paul feels like this man does not deserve to die, and many new inmates come in to make prison harder.

8/10-A meticulously made movie. Michael was a terrific actor as the mild-mannered faith healer, and Tom is, as usual, great. The drama was there, and the three-hour run time didn't seem like three hours. Some people may find the electructions tough to bear (I went in thinking that), but it actually wasn't too hard to stomach. You have to think in the beginning, but then everything's explained! (Unlike another Stephen King book-to-movie, The Shining.)
Rated R for some language including sexual diologue and electric chair in use.
