Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone

Fantasy-A young boy, named Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) is misteated by his aunt and uncle. He finds out that he is a wizard and leaves to go to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. There he finds some quick friends, Ron (Rupert Grint) and Hermione (Emma Watson). Harry finds out about a sorceror's stone, aka the Elixir of Life, created by the headmaster, Albus Dumbledore (Richard Harris) and his friend. After thinking that another teacher is going to steal it, the three friends go on to recover it from him.

7/10-Not as good as the book as usual. The new actors to film (Radcliffe, Grint, Watson) were good, and we can expect great things from them (no pun intended). The British cast was great, though I hadn't heard of most of them. Robbie Coltrane, Harris, Maggie Smith, and Alan Rickman were great. The movie was funnier than the book, but it didn't develop the characters enough as the book. I would have rather seen the movie first and then read the book, but I can't turn back time.
Rated PG for scariness and breif profanity.
