Musical Comedy-Seymour Krelborn was an orphan picked up by florist Mushnik, and raised there. Now Seymour works there, along with beautiful and squeaky-voiced Audrey, who is the object of his affection. However, Audrey has a boyfriend, sadistic Orin Scrivello, D.D.S., who beat her. Seymour brings up a strange plant he dubs Audrey II, and right away it brings in customers. However, Seymour must feed it. And it don't like no plant food. It likes blood. So Seymour must go and kill to make Audrey II happy, while trying to get Orin Scrivello, D.D.S. away from Audrey.

7/10-A typical Oz movie. The songs were spectacular and catchy. Rick was the perfect cast for the nerdish Seymour, and Steve Martin cracked me up as the sadistic dentist. It also had a good cast of guest stars: James Belushi as Patrick Martin, the guy who tries to make "copies" of the plant; Christopher Guest as the first customer, who comments on the "strange and interesting plant", John Candy as radio show host Wink Wilkinson, and Bill Murray as the hilarious masochist Arthur Denton who goes to Orin Scrivello, D.D.S. for a long root canal. The comedy wasn't sustained, though, but it evened out by the songs. The real thing that dampered this was the main characters we've seen before: the nerd orphan trying to get the girl, girl with absuive boyfriend who can't get out, absuive boyfriend, mean boss, etc.
Rated PG-13 for some language and "scariness".
