Fantasy/Comedy-Cecilia enjoys going to the movies. However, the same movie that she saw the last week (The Purple Rose of Cairo) is a little different. Tom Baxter, a semi-important role in the movie, walks out of the picture because he fell in love with Cecilia. She first doesn't know what to do, because it's like an affair-she doesn't want to upset her abusive husband Monk. Now, because of Tom's courage to walk off, four others have walked off and the movies can't go on. Meanwhile, Gil Shepherd, the actor who made Tom Baxter, is upset that his character, who looks exactly like him, might be off doing something bad. Now Cecilia must cope with Tom, Monk, and now Gil while staying down low to keep Tom from going back into the picture.

6/10-A very fine movie. Woody Allen did not put himself into this film (thankfully), and the blend of romance, fantasy, and drama were great in here. The choreography was awesome, with some color and some black and white. Not the best Woody movie (in my opinion), but still a good one. I just didn't find it very funny.
Rated PG for thematic elements.
