Family Drama-In a racially segregated town, a Caucasion school gets African-Americans in it. Now the original pupils are angry about these new students. Even angrier when they are allowed on the football team. Even angrier when the coach is African-American. Even angrier when they're the ONLY team to have multiple races. But, they can't change it, though they try. The coach, Coach Boone, takes over for Coach Yoast, whose now a line coach. Boone is an excellent coach, and everyone agrees. The plot then takes to many different games, when it looks like the Titans (their team) will fall, do you think they'll get back up?

7/10-An effective drama. This is the first movie I've seen directed by Boaz Yakin. He didn't do many others, but I'd like to see them, based on this work. Washington, as always, does a super job in his character. The casting is perfect. Even Ethan Suplee (one of my favorite actors) is on the team. It's not without flaws, but it's still a heartwarming while not too sentimental drama.
Rated PG for brief language and football violence.
