Drama-High school science teacher Jimmy has always wanted to pitch baseball. His father, Jim Sr., worked with the military and had to move often. His final town in Texas had not much baseball going on, but Jimmy still practiced. Flash forward twenty years and now you have a fun science teacher who teaches baseball in a football town. His wife and fellow teacher Lorri has had three children, including baseball enthusist Hunter. After making a bet with his baseball team, Jimmy tries out for the major leagues. He ends up in a minor league team with new friend Brooks. Jimmy must face discrimination for being older than the rest of the minor leaguers while trying to keep his family together. Based on a true story.

8/10-A very good film. The smarts that were made to get all the details right were great. The feelings were true. It didn't mess with your feelings to get you to cry, or try to have every speech be motivational, it just plain worked. Dennis was great as Jim Morris. I forgot that he was acting and thought it was real. I have one major problem, though. It's rated G but has one bad word. Kids probably won't even notice it, but I still think a PG rating is necessary because G states "nothing objectional".
Rated G for brief language.
