Animated Comedy-Shrek is an ogre who just likes his privacy. So when ogre hunters come to his house, he gets mad. One day, he's minding his own business when he runs into a loud-mouthed donkey (who is called Donkey. Those scriptwriters work hard!). That night, various fairy-tale creatures visit Shrek's swamp house, and he finds out that they've all been evicted. So Shrek decides to go up to the Duloc kindgom to get his land back from Lord Farquaad. But to do that, he must rescue a princess, Fiona, from a fire breathing dragon. From then on, Shrek must cope with the annoying Donkey while avoiding temptations with Fiona.

10/10-The most adult animated picture I've ever seen. (Even more so than Antz) Everything about this movie was perfect. The animation looked like live-action at some parts, the script was sharp and witty, and the satire. The voice talents were incredable. Sure it had some unnecessary parts, but it's already less than ninety minutes!

If you have a DVD player, buy this right now and listen to the commentary. It has the most in-depth commentary I've ever heard. You learn many facts, including a joke made from writer Cody Cameron, who also does the voices of the Three Pigs and Pinnochio. He had a great joke to tell Cameron Diaz, but was too shy to ask. He gathers up his courage and tells her, "You know, if we got married, you could be Cameron Cameron." The special features are incredable. Two discs, different features on each. You play games, watch trailers (including one to Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron), and do whatever you want.
Rated PG for language and innuendo.
