THE BABY NURSERY
I had all this baby furniture lying around for years before I finally put it all together in this room.  The furniture is all of a generic brand doll, except for the cupboards that I made myself from Balsa Wood

The room dimensions are the usual 40cm high, 55cm deep and this one is 45cm wide.

The flooring is purple felt that I am going to stencil a border pattern on one day.  The wallpaper is giftwrap that I fancied and the lower half of the room is painted the exact shade of the purple felt carpet.  I divided the paint and the paper with a printie Baby block border from one of the internet groups I belong to.

The cupboards as I said are made from Balsa wood using the pin hinge method of putting them together.  I placed a long strip of Balsa accross the top of both cupboards.  The cupboard on the right has a set in baby bath and is divided to provide a hanging space for Kelly's clothes.  I also keep the nappy bucket in the space under the sink.
The cupboard on the left is merely divided in two and Kelly keeps all her toys in there.
I decorated the cupboard doors with cut outs from the giftwrap and reduced baby block border.  The door handles are moon-shaped cut outs from a plastic ice-cream container.

Kelly has her own rocking cradle to sleep in (when she is not sleeping in mom's bed that is) and a playpen for when mom is just too busy to play with her and to watch her - her playpen is filled with toys to keep her amused for ages.  There is also a high chair, a pushchair and a walking ring in her room.  You can just see a free-standing towel rack in the space between the two cupboards - this is from a Melani's Mall set.
