Fish keeping has always been my all-time favorite. Betta keeping is the latest craze that caught on. Most of my time on this hobby have recently been dedicated to betta-keeping. But besides that, I still have other fishes that have been with me longer that the betta. So this page will also serves as an introduction to the rest of my collections.

Betta Section

Ever since I started my hobby on betta keeping, my fish room have undergone numerous times of changes. Each time the changes are due to simple reasons like finding a better container to house the prize jewels or I have acquired a new betta rack.

It is a never-ending story with me always trying to find the best and most convenient bottle to house the bettas. Below is a list of containers that I have used for betta housing and the reasons why I have obsolete them.

Currently Using:

  • 6 X 6 X 4 glass tanks

  • "Tao Huay" containers

  • SOLO PET containers

Obsolete:

  • Nescafe glass containers

  • IKEA rectangular/square vases

  • 6 X 6 X 6 glass tanks

Now enjoy the pictures to my fish-room.

  • Indoor Section

The racks are modular racks from IKEA that fit the area I have for betta just nice. Being modular, I am able to expand either side-way or upwards just by getting more extensions.

Currently, the set-up that I have is able to handle about 50 - 60 6"X6"X4" betta tanks. But if I am using SOLO containers, I will be able to squeeze about 100 to 150 of those clear PET containers (3 layers).

But for viewing pleasure, I prefer the current setup whereby I have 2 to 3 2ft  tanks at the top of the rack, then about 15 6"X6"X4" betta tanks at the second level. Finally, 2 bottom layers for about 30 glass bottles.

  • Outdoor Section

I have an out-door setup that includes a 5ft fiber-glass tank and some styrofoam boxes. They are used as grow-out tanks for the betta fries. The aim is to provide the fries with a environment that is closest to nature to speed up their growing process.
