It has been reported that Nenad, Rene, Jeremy and Sam were seen drunk just hours after last fridays Crackers game. So Far we have not been able to get hold of Nenad Petrovic for comment. As Manger of the Crackers this leaves him in conflict of interest situation. It is not known yet if the franchise will take any action against the players.
There is talk that Rene may be suspended by the franchise for 1 game. It appears that Rene may be the scapegoat of the incident. It is understood he was seen talking 'Pirate' on the evening concerned. He is believed to have been quoted as telling a member of the public to "walk the plank matey".
We approached Sam who denies being able to talk 'pirate' that night but does admit he was in Wellington just hours after the game in Christchurch. It is believed Sam was seen in the early hours of Saturday morning in Courtney Place after he was scheduled not to play for the crackers because of a toe injury.
We await further word from the Franchise.
