Squad details - part 1 Pete Abernethy - Abernethy will be returning to the squad after a solid 2003 where his middle order bowling and swashbuckling batting was an important cog in the 2 for 22 machine. Has a tendency to drift in and out of games so will be looking to nail down a starting spot in the lineup ahead of other hopefuls with a more focused approach. Will be in the last season of his 2 year deal and will look to impress before maybe signing a new deal. Nenad Petrovic - Although only starting one game last year, Petrovic provides important cover for injuries and unavailabilities in general. More suited to basketball and soccer Petrovic still offers solid bowling and great hussle, an area where 2 for 22 can often find themselves lacking. Is without a current contract but will sign a day to day contract when needed. Jeremy King - Winner of the backcourt fielding title 2 years running, King will again be putting his body on the line in 2004. Works well in tandem with aggressive batters due to his ability to not lose his wicket as well as rotating the strike with fast running between the wickets. Will be looking to sort out problems with his bowling which hampered him last year although availability issues may be a bigger headache to 2 for 22 in regards to King. This will Kings 3rd year of his 4 year contact. Michael Robertson - Acquired down the stretch last season, Robertson was signed in an effort to boost 2 for 22's chances come playoff time. His experience was vital in matching up with the Manglers veterans but as well documented his efforts were not enough to help 2 for 22 beat the Manglers. Currently without a contract although a new deal will be put to his agent soon. Andrew Roxbrugh - A stalwart of the 2 for 22 franchise, Roxbrugh provides unbelievably fast reflexes in close in fielding positions and has an uncanny ability to hit the stumps from any angle in any situation. Bowled to short last year but chimed in with some fast innings although has a weakness with fast accurate bowlers(but who doesn't!) Like King, Roxburgh will have availibity issues during his final year of a 3 year deal. Tomorrow - Find out about exciting young rookie Colin Roxbrugh and the return of controversial fast bowler Morgan Trowland as well as information on veterans Smith, Ward and Young.
