Howdy....my name is Pat Bales and I want to welcome you to the wild flowers of San Angelo State Park.  The past four or more years of drought has left the park, as well as most of west Texas, desolate and dry such that only mesquite, cactus, and other noxious brush have survived.  However, early spring rains have brought about a fashion show of color that has not been witnessed for many years.  I have tried to capture as much of this newly resurrected beauty as possible and would like to share it with all of you.  Hopefully the park will be blessed with more rainfall as we approach summer and more wild flowers will grace us with their presence.  I will try to add these new flowers when they appear.  I hope you enjoy viewing this website as much as I did photographing these wonders of nature.  Tell your friends and come back and visit anytime!
