Gather at: stairs leading down to beach

Type of Beach: Sandy with some submerged rock.

Parking: Along side PCH, park north of Deer Creek Road next to Call
Box/Costal Access Signs.

Facilities: Emergency Call Box

Special Notes: The site offers sandy beach entry with kelp beds that start
about 50 yards from shore. The kelp canopy can severely affect light from

penetrating the surface, so a light is advised. The area is also affected
by surf conditions. With the reefs at the bottom surrounded by sand, it is
not uncommon for visibility to be limited much of the year. Depth ranges
from 15 - 35 feet. Sheepshead, opaleye, urchines, nudibancs, starfish,
abalone, lobster, rock scalopes, dolphins, sea lion and even an occasional
grey whale have been noted from this site over the years.

See description of site by Eccotour.
