I am Brandi, well anyway my new name is Brandi. I came into rescue from a shelter here in KY and my family didn't come to find me. I am a very friendly and lively girl, I have lots of energy and love to play, only the dogs here in my foster home are older and don't play as much. I also seen the Kitty today, I didn't attack her, just watched her, she didn't act like she wanted to play either. The kids down the street did come over to play and we had a good time, hope they come back tomarrow. I am learning what the housetraining issues are, the crate (which I do not like), house manners, some basic obedience (I haven't started yet but will soon). I do love to walk on lead and do very well, after all I do have some manners, even for a young spitfire like me. I will be going to the vet on 9-2-03 for my vaccines and I have already tested Heartworm positive, so will start my treatment. They said I will have to remain calm, what is CALM? I will be spayed after I finish the heartworm treatment, not sure what all this is but it doesn't sound good or fun. My foster mom says I will need obedience training because of my age and energy level, she said this is fun and I should enjoy it. I would also be a good candidate for agility classes, I sure have the energy for it. I am proving to be a very smart girl and would enjoy jumping over things. I sure hope there is a home for me when I finish my heartworm treatment and spay. I need another family who will love me always and take care of me. I so want my own family again, and children would be great, I love kids, cats and other dogs.
UPDATE: Brandi should finish her heartworm treatment Oct 17th, then will go in for her spay. Brandi has seperation anxiety and cannot stand to be left totally alone. She will need a home with another dog for companionship. This seems to work very well for her. 10-23-03 Brandi is getting her spay and some additional tests ran while at the vets. Will post what her outcome is at a later time. |
