My new name is Jackson, so it will take me a while to get use to it. Don't let my skinny good looks fool you, they promised me I won't be that way for long. They are going to do everything they can to get my red blood cell count up, see I am anemic because of all the parasites and starvation I have endured. I seen the vet today, he thinks I will be a very pretty boy again to. He would not give my shots today, I have to wait for 2 weeks and do another blood cell count, so that thing they call a neuter will also have to wait until I am in better shape, possibly in mid December. One really good thing happened at the vets, I AM HEARTWORM NEGATIVE, and have been placed on preventative. You should have seen my foster moms with their fingures crossed, hoping I would at least be negative. SO YEAH FOR ME. I am a very sweet lovable 2 year old guy, maybe not very stunning right now but my foster moms promised I would be again. Just give me a couple of weeks with them they said. I have already been given vitamins, some really tasty stuff on my food which I ate with gusto, and found out I have my own soft, comfortable bed to lay on. I think I am going to like it here. They say I appear to be housetrained, but they do know I love to give kisses and be loved on. I am just a sweet and lovable dud. I do have one problem they noticed: I don't like any other dog trying to get my food or chewies. After what I have been through that is very understandable. Please check back often to see new pictures of me as I improve and get robust again. |
