| These images are variations I made using the basics of this tut and my imagination.. |
| 1. Open the tube you want to use in psp. The tube I used and have provided was tubed by "Vicki" of PSP_Sisters_Tube_Store. 2. Duplicate your tube and close the original 3. Effects/filters/eliminate white and apply to the tube/merge all. 4. Duplicate this image and minimize the duplicate. You will be using the duplicate for a mask, so remember the name of the image or have it where you can see it. 5. Add a layer, floodfill your image with provided gradient-- linear, 45, 0 6. Go to layers/new mask layer/mask from image/and find the minimized image in dropdown/ check source luminance & invert, ok. 7. Go to layer palette, right click on mask layer, choose "merge group" from dropdown. 8. You can add whatever embellishments you want now or none.......... For the one we are doing her I used the heart preset shape........so activate your preset shape tool, set your foreground with the provided gradient, tick "antialias" "vector" set your line size to 2, line style to #1 solid and pull out a heart about 100 X 100 pixels.....if you will go to "view" "rulers" and turn the ruler on, then put your cursor in the left top corner and drag out to approximately 100. Now go to the layer palette and right click on this vector layer and choose "convert to raster". Now duplicate the heart and change the size on some placing them where you like them best. Now, if you want some solid heart, set the gradient in your background, setting I used were--radial, 16..... and drag another heart out and repeat the convert to raster step. Duplicate and resize if you like and place hearts where you like them. If you are planning to resize, merge all and do it now. 9. Activate your text tool, pick font and size....type your text and place it where you like it best, drop shadow if you want it.. I always use vector mode to do my text so I can change it easily if I decide I want to later. 10. Merge all layers and save as a .jpg.........don't forget to compress. | Click the completed tag above to download the supplies I used to make this tag. Included in the zip is eliminate white filter, if you don't already have this filter installed, unzip and make a new folder wherever you keep your other plugin/filters making sure the path is correct. Put the gradient in the gradient folder with the rest of your gradients. I have closed the layers in the tube to reduce file size, click on the glasses on the bottom layer to view the tube. I have also included a preset heart shape in .pspimage format....you can either use it like it is or if you don't already have a heart preset shape you can export this image as a preset shape. |
