First we will make the basic tile, which we will save to use to make additional tiles. 1. Open a new image 300 x 300 and floodfill with 404040 2. Go to effects, textures, blinds: width 7, opacity 100, both boxes checked, color white. Your tile should look similar to the one on the right. Save this tile for future use. |

We will make a tile that we can use in our psp projects, for floodfilling, flooring or wallpaper. This time we are making the tile I used for this page background. 1. With your image active, go to windows, duplicate, working on the duplicated graphic, saveas & name it glassymosaic. Go to effects, geometric, wave-settings: amp 0 & 3, wave 1 & 8, OK. 2. Go effects, eyecandy 3, Glass, settings: width 41, FLAT, flaw spacing 30, flaw thickness 19, opacity 9, refraction 35, color white, brightness 100, sharpness 40, direction 135, inclination 45. 3. Now we will apply the glass setting 8 or so times, but after each time either flip or mirror so that the glass setting is being applied to different areas. We will just use the very center 200 pixels, so don't worry too much about the outer areas. Just quit applying the glass when you are satisfied with it. 4. Go to colors, adjust gamma correction, set all sliders to 5.00, or 'til it is as light as you like it, OK. 5. Go to effects, texture, mosaic antique glass with these settings: symmetric checked, columns & rows 35, opacity 100, grout width 2, grout opacity 50, OK. 6. Double click on the selection tool and set the LEFT and TOP to 50, RIGHT and BOTTOM to 150, OK. 8. Go to selections, convert to seamless pattern. 9. Name the tile and save as a jpg and you are done. |
