Open a new image 500 x 500 and add a layer.  Close the bottom layer.  Go to selections load legs, selections, legs and flood with color 5.  I liked mine shiney so I used the bead preset so effects, innerbevel, bead, ok.  Add layer, selections, load 1 backfeathers, flood with color 1.  Deselect, duplicate layer, resize 90% being sure all layers is UNchecked, colors, colorize, hue 25, sat 160, ok.  Move this layer down just a little and line bottom edgise up.  Duplicate this layer, resize 90%, colors, colorize, hue 160, sat 15, ok.  Now move this layer down and line it up with the others.  Duplicate this layer, resize 90%, colors colorize, hue 255, sat 90, ok, move this layer down and line up with others.   If all bottom edges are even, merge visible.  Click your selection tool set to rectangle and select the left half of your turkey feathers, effects, motion blur, angle 315, 15 pixels, ok.  Selections invert, effects, motion blur, angle 42, 15 pixels.  Duplicate and merge visible.  On same layer load 1 backfeatherslines and flood with color 2 twice.  Duplicate, flip, move the flipped copy below merged layer in layer palette.  Make merged active and duplicate, rotate 90 left, name this layer left wing.  We will come back to this later.  Add a layer, selections neck, flood with color 3, deselect, use eyecandy jiggle 25,5,5 turbulence, ok.  Deselect.  Duplicate, color, hue 25, sat 160, image, resize 30%.  Duplicate, color hue 160, sat15, ok.  Close all but the 3 neck layers and merge them visible.  Add a layer, selections, collar, flood with white, deselect
Effects, innerbevel, choose softedge changing width to 18, smoothness to 60 and depth to 9, ok.  I don't like all those jaggies so I did effects, blur gaussien .75.  Add layer, selections, 3 chain, since it is so small lets use the paintbrush, set round, 25, 100, 100, 25, 100 and paint it with a silver gradient.  close other layers and duplicate this one and merge visible.  Innerbevel softedge.  Add new layer and close the chain layer.  selections, button, paint with silver gradient, duplicate, merge visible and use innerbevel again.  New layer,  selections, head, flood with color 1, invert, drop shadow 0, 0, 50, 25, color 5.  New layer, download selection beak, flood color 5, deselect, innerbevel same as last one.  New layer, selections, eyes, flood with whit.  On this particular graphic I selections, modified, contract 2 and used round inner bevel, deselect drop shadow blk 0, 0, 100, 6.  You could just use innerbevel round, or just ut a small blk dot in the eye, your choice.  New layer, selections, hat, flood with blk, new layer, selections, hatshading, flood with light grey.  New layer hatband, I used the paintbrush again and used color 4 to fill, ok, deselect.  Add layer, selections, pole, I used a silver metal gradient for fill, round innerbevel preset, selections, poleend, invert selections, drop shadow 0, 0, 50, 10.  New layer, selections, attach chain, fill with silver gradient, effects, innerbevel, softedge, drop shadow -1, -1, 50, 0.  New layer, selections, hookchain fill with silver metal gradient, bevel, drop shadow.  Ok, now back to the layer we named left wing.  Make left wing active, click deformation tool, hold ctrl key and grab top right corner and pull down about halfway, or until the wing is about the size you would like it to be.  Click apply.  Drop shadow same as last one.  I made my back feathers active and drop shadowed using color 3 a couple times.  Since I didn't get my pole and hook lined up right, turn off all the layers except the last 3 with the pole, the hanger chain,  and the chainhookholder,  make the pole layer the active layer and merge visible and move the pole and chain into place.
For this graphic I also added a sign by adding a layer and using the selection tool set to rectangle and made a rectangle in front of the turkey and filled it with white, selections modify contract2, inverted and did a drop shadow with the blue, inverted and did another drop shadow with the blue.  Added a layer and put my text on it. Added another layer and used the line tool with a brown color and made a rope to hold the sign, then move the rope layer down until it looks like it is around his neck.
