"Another Year"

Another year has come and gone, I miss your loving ways. The kindness in your smile and the love that you portrayed You never met a stranger, your heart was warm and kind. A lifetime of warm memories to those you left behind.

Your in my thoughts forever, for you filled heart with glee. With open arms you held me and put my mind at ease. You picked me up when I was down when my heart you knew was broke. To me you gave such tenderness, with each loving word you spoke.

You left for me a path to follow, and a sense to do things right And to know that when in darkness there always be a light. To always have a heart for the weakness and the strong. To show all broken hearted, there's a place that they belong.

I watched you in your dying hours, I watched you slowly slip away. I didn't want to let you go, I wanted you to stay. I knew the time had come for me to say my last good byes Time for you to take your journey to that kingdom above the skies.

The strength you showed each passing day showed beauty from within Never giving up on life until the very end. God must have had a plan for you, for the pain that you went through. For he met you at the pearly gates, with the angel wings he gave to you.

Sigh: Another year has come and gone, I miss your loving ways.
