"Just An Ordinary Morning"

Just an ordinary morning
Had my coffee when I got out of bed.
Took a walk in the summer breeze,
Looked around the old homestead.

Old memories, they surround me
In the early morning light.
The sweetness of morning blossoms
Add to the beauty of this sight.

The sun shines through the tree limbs
And warms my soul once more.
And every step I take brings me closer
to the memory of yore.
It's just an ordinary morning
And I am missing you so much.
Need to feel your arms around me
Because this sunshine's not enough.

The sweetness of morning blossoms
Doesn't compare to the sweetness of your smile.
Your memory is all I cling to
I am missing you all the while.

And I'll keep holding on
To your love that I, oh so crave.
I know we'll meet again one day
When they lie me down beside your grave.

Just an ordinary morning,
Had my coffee when I got out of bed.
Took a walk in the summer breeze,
Looked around the old homestead.
