"Why Must I Dream?"

I cannot close my eyes at night, and lay my heart to rest. Or bury all my memories that keep me in distress.

Why must I dream each night of you? See the smile upon your face? Forever falling deeper in your arms of warm embrace.

I hide the love that binds me. in the light of every day. But when I close my eyes each night. you steel my heart away.

Why must I dream each night of you, of times we shared back then? Your like a ghost that haunts me. Time and time again.

And when I wake to morning light. I’ll push you from my mind. I’ll try to loose your memory , fight to let my heart unwind.

Although I know when darkness falls, and the day has passed me by. Once more I’ll see your smile, and the love I try to hide.
