July 15, 1999

Ok, Here's what's been happening: I've been studying for the Bar Exam and have been thoroughly disappointed since day one. It's not going to be fun. Want to wish me well? Burn some incense for July 27 through July 29, 4:30 pm.

Right now, here's what I did to this page since the last written update:

NEW: I've finally added a trading card page which will feature new and updated want lists, for trade lists, and even for sale lists. This page will eventually link up to my Beckett Members' Page.

ADDED: New sites added to the Links page!! Too bad they're only text pages, but some businesses just do not respond to my requests, or just ignore them. So, they will have to be represented by text only links in a page dedicated to graphic links. Hey! I admit it, I can't do graphics worth doo-doo.

NOTE: My Softcom account has finally died is ignominious death! So, please update your records. My current main email is sangredeltoro@yahoo.com

IN THE PLANNING STAGES: Separating the entertainment page into each sub-page, i.e. Music, Movies, Books, TV.

LASTLY: I will be moving back to Berkeley, so updates will be more weird and irregular (like the current trend was all that!) until I can find a jobby job to pay off the big bad loans!

That's all until post-Bar Exam. Take care, and do what you want in life. Don't let your loans dictate how you live!

May 17, 1999

I've finally gone and done it. . . I've graduated from McGeorge School of Law on the 15th of May, Saturday! It was an amazing event! But even though I was wearing the cap and gown, was there with parents and friends and my girlfriend, it didn't really hit until my name reverberated over the PA system and I began to walk across the stage. That was the time I realized I had completed three full years of blood, sweat and tears. Nothing in the world can compare to the feelings going through my mind. Yup, that's right, I needed a drink!

So, what's next? The Bar Exam on July 27-29, truly the most dreaded and yet necessary hurdle for all attorneys. Gee, I can't wait.

Still, I've got the JD degree! Nothing can take that away. Of course, I would have liked to have been the top of the class, but I'm still an alumnus and a holder of a doctorate degree. I've always wondered why attorney's aren't called Doctor? Well, anyway, I can still teach. I think I can do more damage that way! :)

Well, nevertheless, I've still got work to do. Check back in a month or so when I'll actually do some more updating and work on this web page.

You know, now that I think about it, my page has an awful lot of text. I wonder where all that text comes from . . . ?

April 12, 1999!!!

IT'S MY BIRTHDAY, WHOO HOO!!!!

It's also been way too long since my last update. So, what's new?

**New Location: Dig the Geocities locale? The neighborhood is predominately Entertainment based. But when you look at my page, that's what mine tends to be anyway, so I'm home!

** New Mainpage Painting: A classic painting that has been parodied and paid homage to in many different ways. Check out one scene in Dick Tracy as well as a poster version featuring James Dean and Marilyn Monroe as the patrons. The Painter's name eludes me, and Hopper's first name got lost in my data. Anyone got it?

** I Got the Tags on the About Me page working, finally! This means, you should be able to forward to any particular part of that page, depending upon topic.

On top of it all, I'm almost finished with law school. Never thought I'd get there, and yet, it's happening much too quickly. This means that pretty soon, I'll have to shed the ol' College attitude again, and become a professional employee. Can't a guy be goofy as well as a lawyer?

Lessee, what else? For future employers, please note that almost all copyrightable images are on my pages with the permission of the owner, or someone who has that authority. Those images that do not have specific permission have been obtained via waiver by the web page owner, subject to certain restrictions, namely, no sales and no misrepresentations.

I want to be an Internet Lawyer! Hire Me! I'm learning the ins and outs of the Digital Millenium Copyright Act. I'm young . . . relatively, anyway.

Ah, enough begging. Come back in the middle of May, post-graduation, and see what I can conjure up with the coming of the new Star Wars movie, Episode One: The Phantom Menace!

Jan. 8, 1999!

Happy New Year, and enjoy the revised main page and picture. Ok, ok, ok, ok, ok . . . the Question: What's With The No-Women-On-The-Main-Page??? Well, I kinda got a little tired of it, to be truthful. In a new a dramatic way, I wanted to change the whole look and feel of this page. You know, just to see how it'd work. I'm still trying to figure out who they are, though. By now, I bet that they have all left that scene and went on to do their own thing. It has been over 2 years since that pic has been on-line, and who knows how long before then that it was taken.

Well, About the VanGogh, aka, the Man With No Ear: the painting is called Starry Night, and it's probably my favorite VanGogh. Just looking at the brush strokes and the colors gives you the sense of motion in the sky. It's pretty intense. Of course, you should expect that from an artist who spent so much time in a mental asylum.

By the by, I downloaded the pic from an awesome virtual museum, called Web Museum. It is a huge online art museum that has hundreds of images by numerous artists, including Rembrandt, Renoir, Seurat, Degas, Monet, Cassatt, DiVinci, and Hiroshige. You gotta check the site out!

What else is up? Nothing much, just getting ready to start my last semester as a law student here at McGeorge! I think it gets harder, now, because of the Bar Exam. Gee, . . . icantwaituntilItakethedangexam.

That's about all for now. Take care, and check back in a bit.

Pax, and Happy New Year, Everyone!
