PERSONALITIES I ADORE
Sachin Tendulkar
Martina Hingis
Dhirubhai Hirachand Ambani
there is one thing common in
them:
to strive to perfect, to smile and
learn on losing, and to strive to perfect again.....
i 'll write more about them and on
why i like them very soooooooooooooon!
Lucky AliThis guy came across to me
as somebody who is new, naive, and fresh. He's a singer, a lyricist, and a
composer, having released three albums till now : 'Sunoh'(meaning 'Listen'), 'Sifar'(meaning
'Zero'), and 'Aks'(meaning 'shadow'). The first time when I looked at his maiden
music album, I had no idea about who he was. But the cover of the album yelled
out a theme and that's why I bought it. After that, there was no looking back.
Even after listening to his songs for more than two years now, I still feel the
freshness and his absolutely clear messages. All his songs witness a pain from
within, a search for the unknown, and an urge to explore. This coupled with a
meaningful and rich voice make Lucky Ali a very special man. Here's a video
(zipped file) of his most famous
song: O
Sanam... Also, I'm reproducing a write-up from the cover of his album
'Sifar':
"It's the oldest known unit in the
history of human communication.
Containing nothing, it encircles
everything.
Without a beginning, without an
end, it stretches from emptiness to infinity and back
again.
A cipher. Zero. The perfect
circle.
The word 'Sifar' encompasses all
these meanings and more.
It is into the heart of this
paradox that Lucky Ali seeks to venture on his new musical
odyssey.
And every song on this album is
another step on his journey."
Two other videos of his are Anjani
Rahon Par... (from 'Meri Jaan Hindustan') and Dekha Hai
Aise Bhi... (from 'Sifar').
