SANSPA, the South African National Scrabble® Players' Association proudly announces Johannesburg's first ever Scrabble® Tournament aimed specifically at newer players, on Sunday 2^nd September 2001.

It's a response to over100 requests about Scrabble® from keen players since the start of the year in Gauteng. Most players will not have played the world's favourite word game much at club- or tournament-level Scrabble® before, or they will be club players who have not played in many tournaments (yet!) Hopefully we will have enough interest in starting new clubs around the city, particularly in Sandton and Randburg.

It promises to be exciting and stimulating, with great prizes and Scrabble® books, sets and t-shirts on sale at discount prices.

We're also offering a Scrabble Master Class on Sunday 26 August 2001 at 2:30 pm, where Springbok Scrabble® Players will teach you the secrets to becoming a champion. Please phone Arlene Fine if you would like to attend. Well worth it!

So put on your thinking cap, exercise those brain muscles and let us see you there, spreading the words!
