Sweet Dreams

The walls are bleeding,
Fusing together.
My world is fading away...
Or maybe I am.
The light is blinding.
The sound is so heavy,
Flowing, almost like water.
The floor trembles
Then breaks beneath my feet
And reality slips away.
My stomach jumps,
My heart pounds in my chest,
As my body plunges,
Gaining speed,
Tearing through this space
This empty, endless space.
Someone save me
Someone catch me
Someone stop me
Before it's too late.
The cold...
It stings
It hurts
It peirces through my body
It peirces my tender heart.
Then I am overcome.
This deep and serene darkness:
It eats me.
Suddenly, I leave my body
My soul flies away
And just before I reach the light
I wake up to another nightmare
A nightmare called life.
