Contact the MIC Saturday – May 23 9 a.m.- MOL Opens/Inspections/Authorizations 11 a.m. - Sapphire Joust Chivalry Tournament Begins 2 p.m. – ToC Training/Pick ups 3 pm- Capture the Flag Ravine Melee Sunday- May 24 9 a.m. - MOL Opens/Authorizations/Inspections 10 a.m. - Novice Tourney (2 years or less) 11 a.m. - Order of the Kraken Challenge Tourney 12 Noon – Rose Tourney 2 p.m. - St. Aiden Heraldry Mêlée Tournament Sapphire Joust Chivalry Tourney: This year will be a Pools Tourney (elimination Round Robins) until we get down to a perfect 16 man tournament. The final Sixteen will be fought Single Elimination, best two out of three wins. The format for the finals will be decided on the field. The Sapphire Prize will be given for Chivalry and the Ruby Prize for the Finalist of the tourney. ToC: The Knights of Atlantia will hold the field, challenging all unbelts to face them for bouts and instruction. Ravine Battle: 30 minutes. Two teams will be selected with roughly even numbers for a Capture the Flag Battle. Resurrections will be by timed release for both sides. Capturing a flag will re-set both teams. Novice Tourney: The Order of the Kraken will sponsor a Novice Tourney open to all fighters who have been fighting for two years or less, from the date of their initial authorization. Format will be determined by the number of entrants. Order of the Kraken Tourney: Members of the Order will face all comers with matched weapons forms: Polearm, Spear, Greatsword, Two weapon, Sword and Buckler at the barrier and Sword and Shield in the Field. Rose Tourney: This tourney is held in honor of Duchess Arielle the Golden. All fights are open challenges (you find someone and pick a fight like a fighter practice.) You may only challenge 'up'. I.E. (Unbelt challenge up to knights, knights to royal peers.) The winner of each fight reports his win to the MOL and receives a rose. The first Rose must go to Duchess Arielle. The second and subsequent roses (wins) are reported but the rose must be given to a different lady each time. The goal is to have every lady in Atlantia with a rose. Ladies of the Rose can also gift fighters they see do acts of chivalry and courtesy on the field with additional roses. Gallantry, Chivalry, Courtesy and Pomp are encouraged. St. Aiden Heraldic Display Team Tourney: A team tourney meant to showcase Heraldic display and team fighting. In brief the rules are as follows. 1. 5-7 person teams, extra points earned by being in matching livery. 2. Team led by a landed Baron leading a Barony, one point, Baroness 2 points 3. Points can be earned by banners, pennants, cheering sections in matching regalia, etc, etc. 4. Herald in matching regalia earns a point, and if they entertain the queen and princess, extra point. 5. Herald must have a container to collect gems that are awarded. Most gems at the end of the tourney wins. 6. Peers cannot use matching weapons forms. |
