In an effort to give everyone ample time to complete entries and displays, we’re posting the A&S information for Sapphire as early as possible.

The A&S tents will be staffed after 11AM on both Saturday and Sunday.

Competition and Display Tent:
            11:00 A&S Opens on Saturday.
            4:00 PM A&S Competition and Display Tent will close

Competitions:
Best use of Sapphire Gem - may be in any medium
Best Baronial Medallion - all medallions will be given to the Baron and Baroness of Caer Mear at the end of the competition. 
Brewing Competition - There will be three competitions (beer/ale, mead/wine as well as a special prize for the best use of the Sapphire Gem in your beverage presentation).  Documentation is strongly encouraged.  Please conact Lady Sorcha Prechan for further information on this competition.
Poetry Competition -Tell us a tale of knights and ladies, daring and magic - in verse!  Poeta Atlantiae is sponsoring a competition with the theme of the medieval romance.  Judging criteria are available upon request, and documentation is preferred.  Contact Lady Teleri the Well-Prepared (sca_bard@yahoo.com) for more information.

Offers to act as a Judge for the Competitions will be gratefully and cheerfully accepted.

Please pick your projects up
BEFORE 4PM.  Anything left after 4PM will not have supervision.  Any items still remaining after court will be turned over to Lost and Found.

Classes:

We will be offering classes under the A&S class tent on Saturday and Sunday if we have enough volunteers to teach.  If you are interested in teaching a class, please email the A&S coordinator no later than April 18th.  After that point, she will post a list of the class offerings.  The class list will be posted on both the Merry Rose and the Sapphire Joust website after April 18th.  The very last day to pre-register for a class will be May 18th, after that date, classes may be attended if there is available space.

            The A&S Gathering tent will be open as of 10:00AM throughout the day.  Please note that there will be NO supervision provided for projects or personal items.
