About Me
My name is Sara Benjamin. I'm
a senior at Montana State University in the Elementary Education program.
I'm planning on graduating with my Bachelors of Science in approx. 1 year.
After I receive my Bachelors, I hope to go back for my Masters degree in
Computer Science. I'm interested in teaching computers and possibly
someday designing computer programs for kids. I am currently in my second semester as a para-professional and am enjoying my experiences immensely.
My Teaching Philosophy
I truly believe in giving our kids the very best chance to succeed in life that we can. I believe that giving them opportunity to explore and create their individual learning environment will help them excel. I tend to have a constructivist style of teaching. I feel it's important for kids to explore, investigate, and use their curiosity and imagination to learn. It thrills me to see a student finally "get" concepts they struggle with. I enjoy watching students spread their wings and learning!
